Let's forget for a moment about Wilhelm Reich, whether he was right or wrong, visionary or crackpot. Let's look at your primary source, and what he says about Reich and orgone energy:

Reich was not a physicist, he was a psychiatrist. And quantum researchers have NEVER recognized his orgone energy as anything, in fact, they've probably never heard of him at all. Not even Reich himself would have taken this guy seriously, he can''t even get basic biographical details from Wikipedia right, he's making this up as he goes along, and even followers of Reich should be able to see that.

And by the way, although it is not relevant to this post because it neither supports nor contradicts what I've just said, Reich WAS a crackpot.
