As for your comments on VASIMR and fully ionized plasma - how did you expect to keep the plasma contained? Or get it fully ionized to start with? Your Faraday Cage idea just won't work.
Brian Wang's VASIMR powered by those nukes has some problems, but nukes-in-space isn't the nightmare the looney no-nukers would have you believe.
