I don't suppose you went to the trouble of googling Ross McKitrick, did you? His claims are nothing new, and have been thoroughly addressed over the years, including by the IPCC.
Those who make it their's life's crusade to attack the consensus on global warming usually fall back on claims of self-interest or conflict of interest to try to obfuscate the science. Sauce for the goose, sauce for the gander....
McKitrick is an author with a new book coming out in March, available for preordering on Amazon. Could he be promoting his book?
McKitrick is associated with a number of avowedly RightWing and Christian Conservative think tanks: George C. Marshall Institute, Frasier Institute, Interfaith Stewardship Alliance, and the Heartland Institute. What do three of the four have in common? Funded by Exxon-Mobil (the organization taking the vow of poverty is the Interfaith Stewardship Alliance, of course). (Source: exxonsecrets.org, a Greenpeace project.)
Your own bias is more than a little obvious, gb: "...it's important that scientist such as Ross McKitrick do such work to show without any doubt that global warming is a Hoax". Talk about goal-driven science. Me, I'd say that it's important that scientists find the truth.
My reaction: Zzzzzzz...just another paid stooge of Exxon-Mobil.
