Most scientists are "paid stooges" of somebody, unless they're independently wealthy. The comprehension gap I can't seem to get past around here is that both sides are pressured to tell their benefactors what they want to hear.

You did a pretty good job of attempted character assassination. I know you didn't read or analyze any of the source material, because gbaikie's links were shot to heck, and you don't have any more access to the Journal of Geophysical Research than I do.

Your own sources aren't that hot. We'd better leave aside the odd new theory that anyone is suspect who has a book coming out or could profit from their views, since this would put a lot of pro-human-warming activists in a difficult position. *cough* Al Gore *cough*

A lot of Exxongreenpeace's references are circular or obsolete, and if you subscribe to the other theory that any organization that Exxon donates any money to is suspect, you've got a pretty long list to work with.
