Thanks, Fox, on several counts. Mark'll be pleased to hear that you're interested in obtaining a couple of his prints. It's tough for a new photographer to break into the market, even one as gifted as Mark, and I've promised to help him along the way.
That "ImgList[Ipl]" error's been there all along, and it just indicates that the image preloader has run out of stuff to do. One of these days I'll fix it, but it's benign...and besides, I've gotten used to seeing it as the signal that the page is up and running.
61 seconds is a loooong time. I assume you mean that's how long it takes before it stops downloading thumbnails (192 and counting). I need to rework the image preloader so that it starts the slideshow much earlier, as soon as the first image is available.
Thanks for the help. I think I may finally have a handle on the problem, and it's IE7/6. You'll be pleased to hear that FireFox is immune to the problem because it has XML software built-in, while in typical Microsoft fashion, it's a separate software module that somehow makes its way on to your computer during one of those pushy updates, or sometimes when you install an application, or sometimes through a process of quantum teleportation from Redmond. Nobody can say for sure. Just great. And I've just spent an hour reading the blogs of the IE developer team, looking for clues and breadcrumbs, and those guys are nearly as arrogant as Apple when it comes to maintaining that their stuff is absolutely perfect no shit. Arrrrggh....
