Memo to the DVD "format wars": Bite me.

Samsung's BD-UP5000 is going to be hitting Amazon in January, already knocked down from $1,000 to $800. By the time I'm ready to buy, I expect competition will kick in and they'll be even cheaper.

Blu-Rays are under $300 now.
