The card's about three years old, was a little flaky being an early attempt, isn't made any more, and there are better ones out by now, so I won't bother to look up the name.
But it does let me pick up both over-the-air and unscrambled cable digital signals. This is ordinary basic cable, too. A lot of the channels marked active are dark, which I interpret to mean that those are $premium channels and are encrypted.
I have a 1600x1200 plasma, and the high-rez channels are beautiful. It's still too small for top-o-the-line 1920x1080, but the card downsizes nicely. Still, it is a good argument for an even better display (maybe if you promised to let your wife have the car keys on election day, she might give you permission to buy the top-end monitor).
