I'd like to know where this whole "Iraq and 911" came from.

I never once heard Bush or anyone close to him say that Saddam had anything to do with 911. Bush did say that Saddam had ties to terrorist organizations (which he did) and that he had access to WMDs (which he did). We removed Saddam from power not because of 911, but to help prevent ANOTHER possible attack (even deadlier than 911) in the future.
