Cartoons. as powerful as they may be, don't tell the whole story and the readers don't often get the story and the result always goes to the artist/writer's point of view.
It cuts both ways, but as luck would have it, the reader often gets 'it' on their own. From the daughter of an editorial cartoonist, believe me, I know.
