Loved the movie

Will probably get to the books now.

What I was amazed about was how thin-skinned the religious fanatics were that condemned the story. Obviously the bad guys in this film were not representing a modern day religion but instead an entity like the church as it existed during the Inquisition. If the Catholics can't see how that was something to aim condemnation at then they're really insecure about their faith today.

The young girl that played the main character did a marvelous job. I wonder if the fundamentalists weren't more upset with her strength than the religious connections. Can't have them uppity young women.

Why are Nicole Kidman's eyes always bloodshot in every movie I see? The are absolutely beautiful from a distance but kinda creepy when they come in for the closeups.
