Yeppers!

I have watched this man for a couple of years now. What he has to offer is not only amzing but can be applied to humans, also.
It is all about being calm and in control. The goal for Cesar, when he re-habilitates dogs into calm/submissive is to keep the dogs in the moment and the owner must maintain the pact leader status in order to succeed. Cesar has to re- educate the human. As humans we tend to anthrpomorphize animals. This confuses the animal. We must be in charge.

Applied to humans, it is similar. Children need to know who is in charge. Fear and intimidation is not the way to go about it. By the grace of my Higher power, I learned this very early on with my children, and I braggingly admit they were absolute joys in my life. I never had to raise my voice...and spanking was never an option. Our household was an oasis for everyone.
As an adult, I have had to learn boundaries. I would allow people to control my emotions. I became passive /aggressive. Staying calm...and in the moment and simply NOT allowing certain behavior by others has become my mantra. Not always an easy task at hand...but I have the fortitude to prevail...because it is my key to staying sane. There is a certain amount of detachment that must enter into the equation. It is the only way. It definitely does not mean that I do not care. I care. I care deeply. BUT...I care about my sanity more.

Now cats...THAT is a different story.
