re: Why would Musharraf lie about Bhutto's method of dying?

"What is apparent is that the Musharraf outfit lied..."

I see no evident of Musharraf lying.
I notice from title you changed it from Musharraf to Musharraf outfit.
I don't see any evidence "Musharraf outfit" lying.
Your third link states:
"The government has repeatedly dismissed allegations of a coverup, and some U.S. medical experts, when asked Monday to review an official hospital description of her wounds, speculated that a skull fracture and not a bullet wound killed Bhutto."

So, unless "some U.S. medical experts" are part of "Musharraf outfit" this does not support evidence of "Musharraf outfit" lying.

Now, there is no doubt that had this murder occurred in the US we would have had different procedures then Pakistan. I.e the FBI would make serious effort to secure the crime scene and studied it for days. Though this procedure would not stop wild claims of their being "cover up" though.
In the same way securing the medical records seems like proper course of action, but which media reports as:
"The government took all the medical records right after Ms. Bhutto's time of death was read out," said a visibly shaken doctor who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the issue."

Now, if govt destroys this evidence instead of preserving them, this points to a serious problem- and they should be transparent in regards to these records.

What you have here is rumors flying around and reporters scrambling to get the story.
That Bhutto supporters claim Musharraf is lying, is a news story, but isn't evidence of it.
