Assuming that isn't another somewhat nebulous "fact," the problem isn't training privates, the problem is training NCOs and officers, and creating a new organizational infrastructure in Iraq based on something other than the Russian military model. Somehow I suspect we weren't getting a lot of sergeants, lieutenants and captains after only three months of training during WWII.
