What I'm talking about Tom is that, as a registered user, just one name will be associated with that account throughout the posting history. If someone has multiple accounts or represents themselves as some other persona, at least you can easily track their diaries and responses without having to look for their stupid IP address (which as we all know can easily be masked).

The fact too that you can be in a diary and watch instantly as people respond is way cool along with the rating system that also changes in real time. They've devised a clever way of allowing the members to troll rate posts where you aren't given that privilege until you have enough of a history to prove you're not some drive by antagonist. That power is constantly updated and goes away if you stop participating.

Regardless of what you feel about the political philosophy, I've not found a better user interface for keeping the discussions somewhat civil, encouraging participation, and tracking history. A lot of work and thought went into the creation and evolution of that place.
