Is Microsoft Live OneCare. And this has nothing to do with hatred of MS or Gates (whom I greatly admire for his philanthropy).

OneCare, when I used it maybe a couple of years ago, was a obtrusive resource hog, worse than I've ever seen before for that type of software. I couldn't get it off my computer fast enough.
