My only opinion on Panda comes from trying to help my Grandpa with his laptop. Panda took over every stinking aspect of the machine to the point I couldn't do anything without entering a password. Who needs that kind of security or headache? there probably are some settings to loosen its grip, but I didn't look.
Why not just go the free route if its on a personal PC? AVG or Avast are great for antivirus. Zonealarm if you need a firewall.
