Flame » in reply to Appears the Conservatives have left again, "en bloc".

Perhaps, but in light of recent events we must be vigilant...

Trump has demonstrated that more than a few conservatives have been completely radicalized. The violent neo-nazis are also voicing their support for the conservative frontrunner. These devout GOP nutcases are armed to the teeth and are plotting to take over our country… These fascists see guns, war and the death penalty as solutions – the GOP has become nothing less than a ‘Death Cult’, obsessed with ending our way of life- a way of life they see as decadent.

More disturbingly, a quick look at any online discussion forum reveals that right-wing operatives are actively seeking to infiltrate online communities and are working on converting others- EVEN OUR CHILDREN- to their twisted ideology.
A quick search on the web shows they are actively trying to recruit naïve young American women to their conservative fundamentalist ideology- openly enticing them to become ‘GOP-Brides’. (http://www.republicanpeoplemeet.com/ )

This must not be allowed to happen here. Conservatives- as Trump illustrates- are ignorant, hostile, violent, bigoted folks… and some, I suppose, are good people. But how do we ensure that we only the ‘good ones’ are on our forum…? Right now we simply do not have the safeguards in place to ensure that we weed out every single bad one… and let’s face it folks, we simply cannot take the risk. One lone radical republican extremist can do a lot of damage- again, just look at Trump.

Until we have appropriate safeguards in place, we simply cannot allow conservatives to post here. There needs to be a rigorous vetting system to ensure no radicalized conservative posters slip in. We need to take some time to go through all their past posts in this forum and others to look for any signs of radicalization, or any extremist ties.

Quite frankly, I find it suspicious and disturbing that none of the conservative posters here has come out and condemned the actions of ‘their’ extremists. In fact thousands of them cheered when the President’s approval ratings came down. I saw it with my own eyes.

I understand that this might go against our instincts and the ideals this board was founded on, but I think it’s clear that these radicals have forced us to these extremes.
