As long as airing a 30 second commercial can cost close to 3 million dollars, the guys who who actually make this multibillion dollar industry possible are entitled to every piece of the action they can get and that the market will support. Everybody in the sports biz has a job to do, but it's the players who have to work their butts off and endanger their health over a lifetime for the chance of being one of the tiny handful who are successful and make it to retirement. The fans pay to see these guys, not the suits in the office or the technicians, administrators, pundits and other parasites and carpetbaggers who feed off their broken kneecaps and concussions and endless dedication to practice and perfection.
