Problems with Quicktime

I use Starry Night and apparently, the Quicktime updates make using it impossible !!!!

I joined a Starry Night forum and without really taking part to a conversation, learned I needed to uninstall all Quicktime updates later than 7.3.1. It worked when reinstalling the earlier version.
And apparently, it's not just Starry Night!!
