What would be the difference between a federal requirement and universal car insurance and federal universal health insurance?
Or said slightly differently in matters of all types of insurance: car, medical, life, fire, flood, etc, why don't change the laws so that we encourage one company to have a monopoly instead of having laws that forbid this? [btw, politically and mechanically once you had a single company monopoly it would be more of a option to nationalize it- or simply because laws which we could pass this monopoly could effectively be nationalized.]
