Lindy – The law that Sen. Dodd is talking about is THE basic law of our country. It’s Amendment IV of the Constitution.

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated…”

This whole thing makes me sick to my stomach. The idea that this bunch could think it’s alright to exempt anyone let alone some of the largest corporations in the world from our basic law is unforgivable. As Dodd said in his speech last night on C-Span “I guess there are some corporations that are so rich that they have transcended our law”.

I will find a list of Senators who voted for this thing and send each and every one of them a note telling them what I think of them. If the California Senators, my home state, voted for it I will also pledge that I will support whoever is running against them with my cash and my time.

This is no small matter.
