Sending a manned mission to Alpha Centauri is awfully far in the future.

Going to NEOs are not. It can easily be done in this lifetime.

If we can have a lunar base by 2024, NEO missions are just as feasible.
And in my opinion, will have better rewards. A few extra months or years
will mean nothing in the long run.

Where is that can-do spirit any more?
