He has asserted that press coverage of Hillary has been much tougher, and that Obama has gotten a pass because the media swoons over his stage presence.
I tend to agree.
It also doesn't help that Hillary isn't what I'd call an electrifying speaker.
I agree with you: why would Hillary accept VP? She knows what the job is. Besides, she's still a Senator, and in 2 years, she'll be running as an incumbent in what, for her, is very likely to be a safe seat. As a Senator, she's still somebody, as opposed to Veep, the placeholder waiting for a young man to die in office.
She all but conceded the nomination when she said, during the debate, that whatever happens the country will be all right.
Another thing: On The Daily Show, a guest commentator remarked that America is thrilled to have the opportunity to vote for a black man, but when it comes to the general election, a 70-year-old white male Republican is about as much change as the country is ready for. *sigh*
I know how I'll be voting. The man is young, and appears callow, but they said the same about Teddy Roosevelt. He turned out to be a surprise too.

Dan Abrams has been saying all along that it's the press.
