The Swearengen Soliloquies, ...

....were in iambic pentameter, near as I could tell. And him delivering them to a head in a box was perhaps a nod to Hamlet's similar conversation.

My favorite character was Doc Cochran, convincingly played by Brad Dourif of "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" fame. Followed by Calamity Jane, who's commentaries were extraordinary. It's too bad the geologist was so twisted.

I am disappointed that the series ended after three seasons. But that seems to be the average run for a series of this caliber. At least they wrapped up the Heast story line.

So many series end before they've completed a story arc (they often plan for five seasons) and leave a season with a cliff-hanger, which is frustrating if the series gets cancelled.

Will mining camps on asteroids be similar in temperment to Deadwood, or Cripple Creek, Central City, The Yukon, Carson City . . . ? This actually falls into the class thread (...damnit, getting sucked in....), as in these situations there are always classes that develop: Those that mine it, those that own it and fund it, the merchants who feed it, and those that find it or figure out how to get it.
