What exactly is a "fake seatbelt?" Something you stretch across your chest, but somehow isn't a seatbelt? Why is this so much less trouble than a real one?

I don't even think about fastening seatbelts after all these years. It's a completely automatic reaction. I don't even notice them while they're on.
