I can't imagine trying to read an e-book on a desktop. That feels too much like work. From the laptop however I can get comfy on the bed or in a chair and relax as I read. Of course I've started getting comfy during real work too, I love owning a laptop.

My preferred format is audiobooks. While still not as goood as paper, I have much more time for audio as I commute. The only problem is having to stop at odd spots not knowing how much further till there is a natural break in the narrative. Too bad the Adobe Reader's audio feature is crap, that robotic voice is unbearable.

I'll look into those book suggestions. I'm always looking for good sci-fi. looks like there are 2 sequals to Old Man's War I'm going to have to get a hold of as well.
