re: An interesting limit?
It seems as if all energy sources for life "wind down" after a (sometimes great) while. The Sun will go, geothermal energy isn't replenished, chemical energy will run out and that generated from tidal forces between a planet and moon will eventually play out too.
As is said, the only constant is change.
