But it strikes me that you're trying to steer the discussion away from consideration of the blog essay's implication that anti-science cheap shots reliably draw applause much more on one side of the political spectrum than the other.

Good. Now let's plug the word "anti-technology" into that phrase and see where it goes.

I think it's fair to point out that the Left has quite a few issues of its own in terms of dealing with science and technology on an irrational basis. You can't hang around here long without noticing that.
