Technology is the application of science. If someone's anti-tech, then that would make them anti-science. Many of the objections, to genetic engineering (GMOs, cloning, etc), nuclear power, and other technologies is driven by fear and a misunderstanding of the science behind them. Anti-science from the Left goes back at least as far as Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
