Would I want it? Hell, no. I wouldn't have wanted it at ANY point during my life.

Now, do I think I could probably do a better job than any of the three who are going to get it? That's another question. Sure as hell I wouldn't get elected twice. Nobody wants to hear the answers that work, and the politicians who promise Free Cookies Forever will always get the jobs.

Frankly, I'm a lot more comfortable in a "special assistant" setup, which is where I've managed to work myself into in most of my jobs. All the influence, not much glad-handing, business trips, and ulcers. And usually almost as much money.
