This is amazing. Link to home site to the right. Not in English, although the data file is, but has more cool stuff on it besides the Air Ray.

Nature never evolved any lighter-than-air animals on our planet. I suspect normal living tissue can't match mylar and plastic for weight. Someplace with lighter gravity or a denser atmosphere? Who knows?
