Iraq approved provinical elections in October last Wednesday, after the proposal had been stalled. This is a major step to helping Sunnis get the government representation they blew off by boycotting earlier elections.
Kind of a race against time as Sunnis cooperating against al Qaeda demand more say in how Iraq is run.
