The Mahdi Army
is now well-rested, resupplied, and heavily imbedded with the Iraqi police and army. They've had time to scout the Iraqi national and American positions and are in a position to create great chaos.
It's rather ironic that the cease-fire was touted as this move forward when it's now appearing that it may have been a brilliant tactical decision for the Shiites.
Guess we didn't pay them enough.
