I'm entranced with the miniseries and with John Adams. Having been a student of history since high school, I find the miniseries illuminating as to the emotion of the times and the intent of our Founding Fathers. Had we not strayed so far from that origin, we might be a happier nation; however, it is doubtful that straying could have been stayed as it is the nature of all things to evolve, benevolently or not. We are now embroiled in a time when the evolution is not so benevolent. Where that will lead is anyone's guess, perhaps back to a time of more centralized power, although, indeed, one hopes not full circle.
