How can one conserve what one doesn't possess?

If one has no electricity, wealth, water, material goods, computers, cell phones et cetera, it makes it impossible to conserve these things.

They will seek them out if they can and will not buy into your "conservation" - they understand what you really mean and want of them: Deprivation.

And I send my surplus all the time to those less fortunate, with the most common 3rd world recipient being Mexico. I'm afraid such recycling and conservation won't make a dent in the 3rd world's growing needs - which will eventually lead to more global violence, wars of oppression and/or wars of expansion.
