re: First Exoplanets
David Latham notes how he found an object many times the
size of Jupiter orbiting close to its star circa 1988, but at the
time he and others dismissed it as anything other than an
unusual star because of course there was no such thing as
a super Jovian type world circling a star in just a few days.
Those were all way out in the distance and took years to
orbit their suns. Only little rocky worlds orbit near their stars.
