How quickly you forget.
When FDR cut off all American oil and scrap iron shipments
to Japan in 1941 because of the Japanese militaristic government's
barbaric policies and acts in conquered Chinese territory,
the Japanese military responded with the attack on Pearl Harbor
and the invasions of oil-rich Burma and East Indies.

Burma still has lots of oil.

It's no Kuwait or Venezuala admittedy, but Communist China, its friendly neighbor, wants its oil, and Indian Ocean ports too.

Will the UN or NATO dare send in troops into Burma
knowing that China will either veto the effort or worse?...

The worse being?...Remind yourself that China has hundreds of nuclear weapons
and millions of soldiers.
