Unholy alliances
The GOP is doomed as a party during the first part of this century. Demographics make it inescapable. It will re-emerge as a watered down Democratic party pandering to various large ethnic blocs or it will embrace the Mexican Catholicism and try to nurture the ever growing (albeit not so bright) Catholic segment.
Wait...now that I think about it, it already has sold it's soul and is only a lesser of evils.
