The government budget has doubled every 20 years in constant dollars, and the rate is increasing. Where do we say "enough?"
Incidentally, one of the presidential candidates is working hard to sell the idea that everything we are we owe to the almighty State, and that without it (and the candidate, of course), none of us stands a chance in this rotten world.
