Take foreign policy. Obama brings superior intelligence, reason, and a far more advanced understanding of the world. Why do you suppose he's so attractive to so many Independents? They find that his thoughtfulness distinguishes him from being "just another politician."

Obama has been very clear on the distinction between speaking with recognized heads of state, even if hostile, and negotiating with terrorist or radical organizations. This difference seems to be completely lost on conservative Republicans, with their ridiculous "appeasement" charges. Speaking with someone isn't appeasement; handing them countries like Czechoslovakia is appeasement. Don't they see the difference?? Obama also made a great point when he noted that past Republican Presidents, even Reagan, were perfectly fine with sitting down and speaking with the Soviet Union - was this then appeasement? No one outside the lunatic John Birch society would have thought so...
