It's been a long marathon of a race, she's exhausted and wasn't thinking when she opened her mouth. Of course the thought of assassination crosses every political figure's mind from time to time, but they (almost) always have the smarts and the sensitivity to realize how tactless and inappropriate it would sound to mention it in public. "Well, sure, my position is mathematically hopeless, but then again you never know, if somebody happens to blow again Obama, then I'm right there!"

Hillary Clinton is a smart, tough experienced leader possessing many great strengths, but she ain't as smooth as Bill, doesn't have his intuitive feel with people, his ease and comfort with an audience, and his knack for knowing the right word to say at the right time. Tired or not, Bill Clinton would never have uttered such a statement.
