it doesn't work like that...
1) 99% of "old" physics is still valid and appropriate at a human time and space scale
2) Observations drive theories. Whatever these instruments detect, theory will be adjusted to fit. They might not find what is expected, and superstring theory might fail entirely and be replaced by some other exotic construct
But, that said, I look forward to new observations...
