I'm waiting with some interest to hear what Al Gore actually does in his house that demands that much room and that much power. Maybe his home computer uses vacuum tubes?

And since when have neocons objected to wealth, excess, consumption?

Um...the issue here is not whether or not I think prosperity and wealth are evil. The issue is someone who preaches austerity and conservation burning resources like there's no tomorrow (we aren't even counting stuff other than his personal home).

Because apparently what HE does with these resources is "important." The rest of us peons can get by with eventual rationing.
