The older we get, the more chances we have at being vulnerable to cancer. Whether the immune system weakens, somehow something goes awry and off we go. It can start any age.

I have been to a doctor several times this past year with a complaint that has been undervalued. Because I'm new up here, it's hard to find someone who knows and believes me. I was fortunate to have a colonoscopy done recently, not only because colon cancer runs in my family, but because I had an unusual jaunt to the ER.
Your trials REB....reminded me and so did Nick's insistence that you keep at the doctors because they have a tendency to tell you to "Don't worry, be happy", give you some sleeping pills and tell you to go home and relax.

They removed a pre-cancerous polyp and now because of this, my regular doctor has finally ordered a CA-125 blood test, 10 months after my insistence, and hopefully not 10 months too late.
