Find me some evidence of me expressing overwhelming pride in Bush specifically.
Lord knows I've trumpeted military victories, lasting or otherwise, and talked about "us" winning in Iraq and other things. Lord knows I've posted endlessly on the superiority of conservative/libertarian ideas in economics or foreign policy, especially compared to the moribund Left, but if you have something where I implied Bush was a genius, or that he was anything like the ideal champion of my own political values, I'd like to see it.
I voted for Bush because the alternative was worse. I will probably vote for McCain on the same basis. It's been over 20 years since I voted for a Republican because I thought he actually represented my own principles in any way.
You want blind hero-worship, look to Democrats. Right now, in fact.

- If it means what you think it means then there will certainly be a landslide congressional victory for Republicans in November.
