"Floyd the Brown stain" also has a FaceBook page to complement his Web site. There you'll find even more outrages against decency, including videos still trying to make Obama a Muslim (and thus by implication an al Qaeda mole), tying him to the PLO, the crack-n-gay-sex smear, and on and on. Here's a good one: Obama's a nicotine addict who might flip out from withdrawal during Cabinet meetings.

"No smear too large or too small!" seems to be the Stain's strategy. Throw enough Brown at Obama and surely something will stick.

Why do I keep drawing attention to these Republican smears? Forewarned is forearmed. Everybody was blindsided by the swiftboating of John Kerry in 2004, but the very fact that "swiftboat" has become a verb, one that's even used casually by Republicans, says that things will be different this year. A greater percentage of the electorate will recognize smears when they see them, there are organized efforts like fightthesmears.com to uh, fight the smears; and then you have freelance efforts like mine: Turning over the rocks and shining a bright light for a year and a half now.

Speaking of forewarned: This is one of my core themes for this election. Get used to it, I won't be letting up until election day.
