The concept of a "logic diagram" doesn't even apply, no matter how complex. Computers are by definition digital, usually binary at the base, while living nervous systems operate on enormous numbers of connections that express "preferences" along an enormous range.
Learning occurs in a brain when such a connection is reinforced to become slightly stronger, along with millions or billions of other random-looking connections at the same time. The permutations possible in a network of billions of cells each with many connections to many other cells is as close to infinite as makes no difference to a layman.
The reactions of a fruit fly aren't computations along a sequence. They're nervous explosions along millions of connections at once.
I think someday they'll figure out how to do this mechanically, but it won't be easy. Frankly, I think it would be easier to hook a fly up to a missile and work with the input and output connections.

Nervous systems don't work like computers.

- Quantum Mechanics Boondoggles, AI's Total Failure...The Notable Carver Mead Speaks
- That critique was so stupid, its an argument against (a particular) Human Intelligence, not a critique of Artificial Intelligence research
- Fruit fly is extraordinarily bad analogy for "intelligence"

- Fruitflies, I am told, suck at chess.
- Nervous systems don't work like computers.
- Yeah, but...
