The latter gets about 130 mpg equivalent. I like the streamlined shape. Lets face it, cookie cutter cars made today have the aerodynamics of a refrigerator, and the Volt is no exception. Even the EV-1 had a lower drag coefficient. Does anyone know why they didn't just retrofit the EV-1 with a lithium ion battery? Why did they design from scratch? I'd love to drive an Aptera. Utterly silent, no "whooshing" noise, I can plug in my mp3 player and enjoy some tunes. Enclosed, electric motorcycles rock!
