That sounds like my trip to the Houston space center. It was 2002 not long after 9-11, and security was very tight. There were thunderstorms in the area and they almost canceled any tours for the day. However it cleared up enough to allow tours to go, but it was a big disappointment. I was expecting to see at least the ISS control room, but because of the tight security, most of the buildings that are normally on tours were off limits. We only got to go to 2 rather unimportant buildings. The visitor’s center was not very impressive. There was nothing there I hadn’t seen at any museum or science centers across the country. I expected more. Over all the whole day was a big disappointment, and waste of time.
