Which is why multiculturalism fails. Multiculturalism leads to ever incresing government bureaucracy and gridlock. A "Tower of Babel" syndrome develops which paralyses society and eventually rips it apart. Democracy at it's very core depends on consensus, and consensus is most easily obtained by people with similiar backgrounds and cultural and ideological commonality. As America becomes more diverse, we lose more and more ground. Within 50 years, ifpresent trends continue, we will be nothing more than another bankrupt banana republic while other more unified societies walk all over us.
